Boots & Blades:
Let's Talk Short Track!
Boots & Blades is a place to discuss and collect information about short track skating and its athletes - the skaters each have their own threads where you can see and post articles, photos and videos. Some of the info gathered at BB will be used for the Rocker-U skater biographies.
Here are some of the areas covered at BB:
The Skaters - A thread for each active skater (American Cup Senior level), and an Alumni Association board for skaters who are inactive.
Road Trips and Game Day Chat - This board gives fans an opportunity to share trip-planning data for those who will be attending the event, as well as links to any media coverage for those who are staying home. Fans can chat here during the event, and it's also where you'll find recaps and fan photos when the event is over.
Results - Links to official results, and also a unique recap of each individual skater's performance.
Short Track USA - This board is for all USA short track subjects that are not about a specific skater. Some of the threads: General Short Track Chat, Skater Appearances Hotline, USS/ISU News, Short Track Safety, etc.
The Clubs - Short track clubs have carte blanche to publicize events and info here.
Other Skating Stuff - Includes separate boards for Long Track, Our Canadian Friends, and The Rest of the Short Track World.
The Coffee Shop - Any non-skating subject can be discussed here. Some of the threads: General Non-Skating Chat, Happy Birthday, Figure Skating, and Comedy Club.
The Guest Forum - On most BB boards, posting is limited to members. However, on the Guest Forum, non-members can contribute information.
